The original stonework has been conserved on the outside and is also visible on the inside. Where it is not, we have used ‘ecological’ paint on the walls. The ceilings and floor are of chestnut treated with ‘ecological’ dyes and oils. Much of the furniture is antique or restored.
Its central location makes this an ideal starting point to visit any part of Asturias: we are very close to the ´protected area’ of Pico Caldoveiro; 4 km from the Camino Real de la Mesa; 10 km from Puerto de Maravio; 20 km from the Parque Natural de Somiedo; 30 km from the Senda del Oso- all of which are places of unique natural beauty.
The village of Villandás and its surroundings have charms to satisfy the most demanding, with nearby woods of oak, beech, chestnut and ash. You will not need a car to find yourself in open country and a completely natural environment.
